The best weekend getaway near Mumbai

So what’s the plan for the weekend? This is definitely one of the most frequently asked questions on Friday evenings at work while you are packing up to leave your desk. And it is upsetting when you have to say “ NO PLANS, just busy with cleaning the house, getting the groceries, doing the laundry etc.” But last weekend I was really excited as we had some great plans. When I reached home I told my mother in-law about are plan to go to some weekend getaway near Mumbai. Her first reaction was a in form of question-“ Tumhari generation esa kya kaam karti hai weekdays mein ki har weekend pe tum logo ko break chahiye. Honestly her questions was justified and this needed to be answered. So I asked this question to someone who can answer almost all the questions “the google guru.

When I typed “why do we need vacations” I got hundreds of answers like

1.     A recent study shows that taking time off actually improves your  happiness. It is better to spread a vacation experience in a year than taking a long break.

2.     Vacations provide you with time to refresh and recharge your brain cells. That is why many workers or busy people get their best ideas away from work or the office space.

3.     According to experts people are satisfied with life on vacations and return more energized and positive

4.     Stress doesn’t help you seeing things clearly, but when you do take a break you understand how to balance your work and life and decreases the effects of stress and signs of burnout.

5.     Spending time with friends and family away from work and routine life strengthens the relationship and the bond.

There were many more such answers.

Now if an amazing vacation can give us all this we really had to chose the best and of course, “ an economical” weekend getaway near Mumbai. While surfing the net I came across “Monteria resort” near Mumbai. After going through their website , pictures and testimonials I decided to visit this resort as it seemed an exciting option for a weekend getaway. We reached there at 11 a.m. and checked in at 12. P.m.

 The location of the resort was very soothing and calm, a  perfect  location to rejuvenate your self. The resort has various kinds of rooms to chose from namely  Chalet , premium, superior, deluxe and executive. The rooms are spacious , clean and are equipped with all the facilities which will make your experience even more luxurious. All the rooms are clean and well maintained.

The resort offers various adventurous activities like Zip line, Rifle shooting ,  Swing crossing, Archery, Air crossing. After thrilling sports we had still a lot of fun to unfold. The resort has huge swimming pool with clean water where who can enjoy various pool games.  It was a day of perfect fun.The resort serves various cuisines with unforgettable meal , no matter what your taste is.  The resort also provides facilities for conducting conferences, corporate workshops , outings etc. It is also a great venue doe special occasions like weddings, and other family functions which you want to make memorable.   In short the resort was a “ paisa vasool” place.
